LaserJet PCL to Raster and Fax Conversion
JetPCL can accept LaserJet PCL input including scaleable HP
printer-resident fonts, downloadable bitmap and scaleable fonts, HP A-Z
cartridges and produce a variety of raster and fax compatible standard
bitmap formats. Because JetPCL accepts PCL input, it enables your fax to
produce the high quality LaserJet output expected from WordPerfect,
Excel, Word, dBase and any other program with a Hewlett-Packard printer
driver without any manual post-processing.
Powerful and Fast
When it comes to performance, JetPCL is in a league of its own. It
provides full HP compatibility with an AGFA Intellifont font engine
which uses true font rasterization, not soft font approximations. And it
is more than five times as fast as other products. Typical conversion
times can be around 5 pages per second or higher.
PCL5e and HP-GL/2 Support
JetPCL includes support for LaserJet 4 and 5 printers using PCL5e
printer escape codes. It provides support for downloadable scaleable
TrueType and Intellifont PCL5 soft font data. Included with JetPCL are
the same 45 scalable typefaces as built into the LaserJet 4 range of
laser printers. JetPCL also includes support for HP-GL/2 that is
commonly used for drawing vector images within a PCL document.

The program inserts a small light
grey vertical JetPCL Imaging watermark at the top
left of each page on the output files. This does not obscure or
interfere with any other text or items on the page. This is
intended to be present by design of the authors of JetPCL (Tech
Know Systems) and cannot be removed using JetPCL.
The evaluation versions also include light grey diagonal
JetPCL Demonstration messages across the page and a Tech Know
Systems information notice at the bottom. These are not present
in the full versions, just the small Imaging watermark shown
here.
